Acne As You Age

Acne is most seen in your teens. As a teen, acne looks like big white heads, pimples and black heads. There may be multiple break outs from your face to your neck and chest or back. Hormones are raging during this time so your body is pumping out oils and other toxins to create a havoc on your skin. Many teens are at a loss because they are trying every soap and acne product out there but to no avail. Don’t despair – you may not not notice a change but wait about 6 weeks and you will notice a change.
Acne in your twenties may look similar to acne in your teens but there are less breakouts and may be more black heads. This is a good time to start experimenting with makeup and concealers that will help diminish the signs of acne. You may notice scars at this point and smoother skin. Keep to washing twice a day using a Benzoyl Peroxide.
Acne in your thirties starts to change. Dry skin becomes more noticeable and break outs where there is dry skin becomes more prominent rather than in oily areas.
At any age make sure to always wash your skin and don’t over wash or over touch your skin.
