If you didn’t already know, stress reeks havoc on your body and skin. Stress and acne don’t get along and if you find yourself dealing with stress you will probably notice breakouts. Every one deals with stress differently but if you want acne free skin, it’s important to follow some few simple tips to keep break outs at bay.

Tips To Keep Your Face Clear During Stress

Use Tea Tree Oil – Tea tree oil helps soothe the skin and helps relieve any redness you may have during this tough stressful time.

Use A Clarifying Mask Once A Week – A clarifying mask will help add nourishment and take away toxins on the skin’s surface. Make sure it is oil free as this could cause break outs.

Hydrate Your Skin – Make sure to drink plenty of fluids when you are stressing out. As stress causes your body to go into hyper drive, the best way to combat this is through hydration.

People often wonder if they truly have acne. What if you break out occasionally? What if you only get one pimple here and there? Is this acne? Acne constitutes plugged pores made up of white heads and blackheads, multiple pimples and even deeper lumps. There are severity levels to acne so people who occasionally break out are still on the spectrum of acne.

Calliope1

The most common type of acne is acne vulgaris which includes whiteheads, blackhead and cysts. A severe form of acne vulgaris is when you also have nodules on your face, chest, back. Nodules are large hard bumps that lie beneath the skin. They can last for weeks and often hurt when touched.

Another type of acne is acne rosacea which looks similar to acne vulgaris. Rosacea affects millions of people. It looks like a red rash that appears mostly on a person’s cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. With acne rosacea, the redness is accompanied by little bumps and pimples.

For the general population, blackheads, whiteheads and pimples seem to be the most common form of acne. Many people get acne on their face, but it can occur on your back and chest and can be referred to as backne. Mild forms of acne is easily treatable with your garden variety cleansers. More sever forms of acne need medicated soap or gels to help alleviate blemishes.
